ACC quizzes Mosharraf's wife

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today interrogated the wife of BNP leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain in connection with a money laundering case.

Ahsan Ali, deputy director of the anti-graft body, quizzed Bilkis Akter for two hours from around 10:00am at the ACC's Segunbagicha office in the capital.

After the interrogation, Bilkis denied to make any comment before reporters.

Details on the ACC official's quizzing could not be known immediately.

The ACC on February 9 sued Mosharraf, also former health minister, for laundering over Tk 9.53 crore to the United Kingdom.

ACC Director Nasim Anwar filed the case with Ramna Police Station stating that cashing influence of his post, the leader amassed the amount between 2001 and 2006 and deposited the money with a bank account in the UK.
