Officials of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today interrogated detained BNP leader Moudud Ahmed in a case filed for illegally occupying an abandoned government land.

A three-member ACC team headed by its Deputy Director Harun-or-Rashid quizzed Moudud at Kashimpur-1 jail gate for over an hour, Jailer Abdul Quddus told BSS.

"The ACC team entered the jail at about 12:35pm and came out around 2:05pm," he said.

Earlier on December 17, Harun-or-Rashid filed the case with Gulshan police accusing Moudud and his brother Manjur Ahmed of grabbing the abandoned government house worth about Tk 300 crore at Gulshan in the capital.

A Dhaka court denied bail to the BNP leader in the case on January 27 and allowed the ACC to interrogate him at prison gate.
