9 railway officials transferred

Bangladesh Railway (BR) authorities have transferred its nine top officials including a general manager and chief engineer.

Asked about the reason behind the transfer, Jobeda Akhter, deputy director (Public Relation) of BR east zone, said its just a routine work.

According to a gazette notification issued June 5, names of the nine officials and posts are as follows. 

Md Mokhbul Ahmad, general manager of east zone of railway, has been transferred to BR Bhaban, Dhaka as project director (reform) while Md Mozammel Haque, general manager (project) of BR Bhaban, Dhaka, has been made general manager of east zone.

Kazi Md Rafiqul Alam, project director (reform) of BR Bhaban, Dhaka, has been made its general manager (project) while AKM Mahbub Ul Alam, chief engineer of east zone, transferred as additional general manager at the west zone.

Md Harun Or Rashid, chief engineer of west zone, will replace Alam.

Md Abdul Hai, joint director general (engineering) of BR Bhaban, Dhaka, has been made chief engineer of east zone.

Abdul Motin Chowdhury, chief mechanical engineer of east zone, has been transferred to the same post of the west zone.    

Mihir Kanti Guho, chief operating superintendent, has been made joint director general (operation) of BR Bhaban, Dhaka.

Md Mia Jahan, chief operating superintendent of west zone, has been given the same post at the east zone.
