9 army men hurt in grenade explosion during training

At least nine army personnel were injured, three critically, when two grenades went off accidentally during a training session at a cantonment in Parbatipur upazila of Dinajpur this afternoon.
The critically injured three were flown to Dhaka CMH by helicopters, our correspondents from Dinajpur and Rangpur reported.
According to sources in the cantonment, a team of army personnel from 34 Bengal Regiment of Rangpur went to Shaheed Mahbub Army Cantonment in Parbatipur upazila of Dinajpur for training.
During the training session on grenade throwing around 4:00pm, two grenades exploded, leaving the nine injured, said a source.
All the injured men were rushed to the Combined Military Hospital in Rangpur immediately.
The injured army men are: warrant officers Ketabur Ali, 45, and Mohammad Ali; sergeant Fazlur Rahman, 40; corporals Rawshan Ali, 40, Mannan, and Golam Rasul; and soldiers Bikash Chandra Roy, Rahman and Zakir.
