The government-formed probe committee today visited Rapid Action Battalion-11 headquarters this morning as part of its investigation into the seven murders including Narayanganj city panel mayor Nazrul Islam.

The committee reached the Rab-11 office at Siddhirganj, on the outskirts of the city, around 10:30am and stayed for two hours, reports our Narayanganj correspondent.

Later, they went to visit a camp of the Rab in Puraton Court area in the town.

On April 27, seven people -- Nazrul and his four associates and senior lawyer Chandan Sarker and his driver -- were kidnapped separately, but around the same time from the Dhaka-Narayanganj link road.

Six bodies were found floating in the Shitalakkhya river three days later and another the next day.

The other victims are Swapan, Tajul Islam, Liton, Jahangir and Ibrahim.

In line with a High Court order, the government formed the seven-member committee on May 7.
