6 killed in Pabna road crash

Six people including three of a family were killed and six others injured after a truck rammed a human hauler in Santhia upazila of Pabna this morning.
The deceased are Abdul Matin, 60, his sister-in-law Champa Akter, 45, and Champa’s son Rana, 12, Runa 18, Banna, 16, and Ahasan Muhuri.
All the victims hailed from Ahmedpur village in Sujanagar upazila of the district.
A speeding truck hit the human hauler in Kashirumpur area around 9:00am, said Mirajuddin Ahmed, superintendent of Pabna police.
Three passengers of the three-wheeler died on the spot while three others succumbed to their injuries on the way to hospital, our Pabna correspondent said quoting the victims’ family.
The SP however confirmed the death of four people in the incident.
The injured were admitted to a local hospital.
