6 hurt as rival AL men clash

At least six people were injured as two rival groups of Awami League clashed at Bahadurpur village under Benapole Police Station yesterday morning over capture of a fish enclosure in the area.
Officer-in-Charge Apurbo Hasan Benapole Port Police Station said the supporters of local Awami League leaders Mafizur Rahman and Ambia Rahman locked in a clash over capturing Bahadurpur fish enclosure and establishing supremacy in the area at around 9:00am.
Both sides, equipped with lethal weapons swooped on each other and blasted at least 10 bombs during the clash that lasted for half an hour.
The clash left at least six people from both sides injured, the OC said.
