4 of a family killed in Munshiganj fire

Four of a family including a mother and her two children were burnt to death as a fire broke out at their residence in Binodpur area of Sadar upazila in Munshiganj early today.
The deceased are identified as Firoza Begum, 25, her mother, 70, whose name could be known immediately, and her children – Md Fahim, two-and-half-year old, and Masum Billah, three months old.
The fire broke out around 1:30am at their shanty built on a chatal (rice drying yard) of a husking mill, reports our Munshiganj correspondent quoting Shahidul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC), of Sadar Police Station.
All the four victims were burnt alive in the fire, the OC said.
The origin of the fire could not be known immediately, but the police official said it might be originated from their furnace, said the police official.
Firoza and her husband Afzal Hossain were working at the chatal. Hossain went to his village home at Barguna when the fire occurred.
