4 of a family die in road crash in Munshiganj

Eight more die countrywide, 24 injured

Countrywide road accidents killed 12 people, including four of a family, and injured 29 others yesterday and Tuesday.
Our Munshiganj correspondent reports, four of a family died when a truck rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Jamaldi Bus Stand area of Gazaria upazila yesterday.
The dead were Kazali Akter, 45, her daughter Fulmati Akter, 22, Ayesha Akter, 4, and Marif, 3, son of Fulmati. They hailed from Jamalpur.
Our Gazipur correspondent reports, an unidentified person died and 24 people were injured when two buses and a pickup-van collided head-on on Dhaka-Tangail highway in Horitokitola area of Kaliakoir upazila yesterday.
In Boharar Chala area of Shreepur upazila Sumon Mia, 27, of Kishoreganj, died when a truck ran him over yesterday.
In Kaliakoir, two people died and 25 others were injured when two buses collided head-on on Dhaka-Tangail highway yesterday.
Our Chuadanga correspondent reports, Abul Kalam, 49, of Roakulli village died when a human-hauler collided head-on with his motorcycle on Chuadanga-Alamdanga road in Bondobill area of Alamdanga upazila on Tuesday.
Our Brahmanbaria correspondent reports, Abu Asif Chowdhury, 32, of Tangail died when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw hit his motorcycle on Comilla-Sylhet highway in Shuhilpur village under Sadar upazila on Tuesday.
Our Bhola correspondent report, Manjur  Bepari, 27, of Abu Bakarpur village died when his three-wheeler hit a palm tree as he lost control over the vehicle on Bhola-Char Fasson road near Shiber Hat area in Char Fasson upazila on Tuesday.

Our Mymensingh correspondent adds Joy, 12, son of Azizul Islam of Char Kalibari village and five people were injured when a bus crashed a rickshaw-van from behind in Shambhuganj Bridge area in the town yesterday.
