4 muggers held with currencies in capital

Rapid Action Battalion detained four muggers along with looted money worth Tk 5.12 lakh and Indian rupee 1.39 lakh in the capital's Mirpur and Mohakhali early yesterday.
They are Mahabul Alam, 30, Badshah, 28, Masud, 39, and Nayan Daria, 28, said Rab-1 Commanding Officer Lt Col Tuhin Mohammad Masud at a press briefing at the Rab-1 headquarters.
Rab also seized two motorcycles, some bank cheques and six fake national identity cards from their possession.
