3 shot dead at Moghbazar

Unidentified assailants gunned down three people, including a woman, in Moghbazar of Dhaka this evening.
Another person was injured during the incident.
The deceased were identified as Munna, Billal and Brishti. The bullet-hit was identified as Hridoy.
Locals said the assailants stormed into a tin-shaded house located in Sonalibagh of Moghbazar around 8:00pm and opened fire indiscriminately, leaving the four critically injured.
They were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared the three dead. The injured has been undergoing treatment at the hospital.    
Although police were unclear about the motive behind the killings, locals said it took place between two groups over a disputed land and collecting extortion in the area.
Inspector Mozammel Haque, camp-in-charge at DMCH, said among the deceased the woman and a male are siblings.
Intelligence and police top officials were on the crime scene and collecting evidence when the report was filled around 10:00pm.
