3 ‘petrol bomb throwers’ beaten up at Fatullah

A mob beat up three alleged miscreants after they hurled a petrol bomb at a passenger bus in Fatullah area of Narayanganj this afternoon.

A group of some 10 arsonists waylaid a bus on Dhaka-Narayanganj highway around 1:00pm, said Manjur Quader, officer-in-charge of Narayanganj Sadar Model Police Station.

The attackers then hurled a petrol bomb at the vehicle, the officer told our Narayanganj correspondent.

Locals captured Mahmud, 25, and Shihab, 19, of Fatullah, and Sayeed, 35, of Siddhirganj while the miscreants were fleeing away after the attack.

The angry locals gave the trio a good beating before handing them over to police, the OC said.

Five petrol bombs and gunpowder were seized from their procession.

Later, the three were admitted to Narayanganj Sadar Hospital. Of them, the condition of Mahmud is critical.
