3 more people test positive for coronavirus: IEDCR
Total cases in Bangladesh is 27, of them 5 have recovered and 2 died
Three more people have tested positive for coronavirus in the country, raising the cases of total infected to 27, said Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora, director of Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).
Of the 27 cases that tested positive for coronavirus, five were released after treatment, two died and 20 others are currently undergoing treatment at different hospitals, Flora said during the briefing at Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in Dhaka.
And of the three new detected cases, two people came from abroad while another has contracted the disease after coming in contact with another patient, she added.
Two of the infected are male while another is a female. They are aged between 20, 30 and 40, she added.
The first coronavirus case was confirmed in the country on March 8 and the first death on March 18. The second person died from coronavirus yesterday.
