3 hurt in Dhaka warehouse fire

At least three people received burn injuries when a fire broke out in a warehouse in the Choto Katara area of the capital this evening.

The injured are – Kabir Hossain, 30, Mofiz Uddin, 40, and Abdul Aziz, 30, reports our correspondent quoting witnesses.

The warehouse, on the third floor of a six-storey building, caught fire around 6:15pm, they said.

Six units of fire service and civil defence worked to douse the fire, officials said.

The injured were rushed to the burn unit of the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.

Kabir received 90 percent burn injuries to his body, while Mofiz and Aziz received 30-40 percent injuries, burn unit sources said.
