3 die in Ctg road accident

At least three people were killed and three others injured as a human hauler hit a lorry at Saltgola intersection in Chittagong this morning.

The deceased -- Kafil Uddin, 27, Farida Akhtar, 25, and one other yet to be identified -- died at the Chittagong Medical College and Hospital after suffering critical injuries,  Abu Musha, sub-inspector (SI) of Bandar Police Station told The Daily Star.

The injured - Rafique, 30, Sumi, 22 and Ashik, 40, are undergoing treatment at the CMCH, the SI said.

The accident took place when the Chittagong EPZ-bound human hauler hit the lorry from behind after its diver lost his control over the wheel around 8:45am, leaving six people critically injured, according to the police.

Local rushed the victims to CMCH where doctors declared three persons dead.
