2600 yaba tablets seized in Ctg: 2 held

Detectives today recovered 2600 yaba tablets and picked up two persons from Shah Amanat Bridge area in the port city of Chittagong.
The arrestees were identified as Nurul Hakim, 26, Md Kafil, 18, hailing from Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar, reports our Chittagong correspondent.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Detective Branch (DB) of police raided a Chittagong-bound pickup van around 6:30am and recovered the yaba tablets, police said in press release.
They detained the driver -- Hakim and his helper Kafil – and seized the pickup van that was coming from Cox’s Bazar, it added.
A case was filed with Karnaphuli Police Station in this connection.
