200 RMG workers fall sick after having snacks

Around 200 workers of a garment factory in Gazipur fell sick after taking snacks supplied by the factory this evening.

The sick workers of Karim Textile, located on Dhaka-Tangail highway at Kaliakaur, were admitted in different hospitals and clinics with severe vomiting and headache, reports our Gazipur correspondent.

Sources said, the workers started vomiting immediately after they had taken eggs and patties provided by the factory authorities around 8:00pm.

The workers alleged the factory authorities provided them rotten food.

The production at the factory was suspended for couple of hours after the incidents.
