2 to die for killing man in N'ganj

A Narayanganj court yesterday sentenced two people to death and another person to life term imprisonment for killing a businessman in the district in 2011.
Rana and Musleh Uddin were sentenced to death while Amir Hossain was sentenced to life term imprisonment. All three are absconding.
The court also fined Rana and Musleh Uddin Tk 2.5 lakh each and Amir Hossain Tk 2 lakh.
According to the verdict, one Nazrul Islam began cloth trading in partnership with the trio in Kalagasia area under Bandar upazila. For business reasons, Nazrul lent Tk 1 lakh to the trio.
On October 22, 2011, Nazrul and the convicts had an argument over paying back the money. At one stage, the three killed Nazrul, tied his hands and legs and threw the body in the river Shitalakkhya.
