2 idols vandalised in Natore

This March 4 Banglar Chokh photo shows criminals vandalised a Hindu house and a temple in it allegedly over a land dispute at Suktagor village in Rajapur upazila of Jhalakathi.

Miscreants vandalised two idols – one of Saraswati and another of Laxmi – at a Hindu temple in Lalpur upazila of Natore last night.

A gang desecrated the idols of Durga Temple at Nawapara village and spread the broken pieces on a nearby road any time last night, reports our Natore correspondent.

Abdul Hai, officer-in-charge of Lalpur Police Station, confirmed the vandalism but he could not say anything about the attackers.

Soon after getting information, a team of police has been sent there to find out the reason behind the attack, the OC said.
