2 hurt in bomb blast at Dania polling centre

Two people were injured when miscreants hurled crude bombs inside a polling centre at Dania in the capital this morning.

The injured -- Amir Hossain, 50, Yunus Ali, 22, an Ansar member, were sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

Unidentified miscreants threw five to six crude bombs inside Anirban Pre-cadet School center from a building adjacent to the polling center around 9:30pm, Mazharul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kadamtali Police Station, told The Daily Star.

Hossain and Ali were injured in the bomb attack.

Voting continued at the center after the situation calmed down, the OC added.
