2 bodies recovered in Noakhali, Feni

An upazila-level leader of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) was found dead in Noakhali today.

Md Mafijur Rahman, 60, president of Noakhali Sadar upazila unit of CPB, was also a member of the Noakhali district unit of the party, reports our Noakhali correspondent.

Locals found the stabbed body of Mafijur in a field beside Al Amin bazaar in Subarnachar upazila around 12:00am, said AKM Enamul Kabir officer-in-charge of Charjabbar Police Station.

On information, police recovered his body and sent it to Noakhali Medical College Hospital.

OC Kabir said that police are looking into the murder to see whether it is political or not.

Mafijur went out of a house of one Mostafizur Rahman Maijdi after receiving a mobile call around 7:00pm, OC Kabir said.

Meanwhile, in Feni, police recovered a youth's decapitated body this morning beside a river at Chanpur village in Daganbhuiyan upazila of Feni.

The hands and legs of the youth, 35, (name could not known) were also with rope, said Md Nijam Uddin, officer-in-charge of Daganbhuiyan Police Station.
