Two Bangladeshis sustained serious injuries as Indian Border Security Force (BSF) beat them up near Boikari frontier at Sadar upazila of Satkhira early today.

The injured are Moyna, a resident of Gobindakati village of the Sadar upazila and Mukul, a resident of Howalkhali village of Kolaroa upazila, report our Satkhira correspondent.

Following directives of a local cattle trader, the duo aged about 19 to 20, went to Bashirhat cattle market in India near the Boikari frontier around 5:00am to bring cattle, our correspondent said quoting locals.

The members of Gorbda BSF camp caught and beat them up when they tried to flee the area with the cattle. The injured cowboys were left at Badalghata frontier in critical condition.

Acting commander of 38 battalion of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in Satkhira Maj Nazir Ahmed Bakshi said that they were informed about the incident and will handle it officially.
