15 Bangladeshis rescued from Benapole frontier

A total of 15 Bangladeshis including eight women and three children were rescued from Benapole this morning while being trafficked into India.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) rescued them from the Pukhali border under Benapole Police Station. No one was held in connection to the incident.
BGB received intelligence on the trafficking and rescued them from Balur Math area, said Samsur Rahman, in-charge of Putkhali camp, BGB 23.
“The Bangladeshis were all from Narail and Faridpur. They have been handed over to Benapole Port Police Station,” he said.
A case was filed with the police station in connection to the incident, reports our Benapole correspondent.
