100 RMG workers fell sick after snacks

More than 100 workers of a ready-made garment factory in Gazipur fall sick after having snacks served by the factory authorities this evening.

Most of the workers were admitted to different clinics and hospitals including, reports our Gazipur correspondent.

More than 100 workers of GMS Composit Knitting Ltd started vomiting immediately after taking the snacks supplied by the factory management around 8:30pm, said Rezwan Khan, manager (administration) told The Daily Star.

Around 1,000 workers, who were working in the nightshift, have had the snacks, said Sarwar Hossain, a physician of the factory.

The workers were served with eggs, bread and banana, he added.
