Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) personnel detained a woman along with 50,000 yaba tablets in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar last night.

The detainee is Minara Begum, wife of an alleged yaba smuggler, Nur Mohammad, of Leda village, reports our Cox's Bazar correspondent.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-7 conducted a raid at the residence of Mohammad around 9:00pm and found 50,000 yaba tablets, said Company Commander of Rab-7 Major Kazi Md Rashedul Alam.

They picked up Minara as Mohammad was not at home during the raid, Major Alam said.

Mohammad used to smuggle the tablets in Bangladesh from Myanmar and supply those to Cox's Bazar and other adjacent districts, he said.
