Law minister criticises chief justice

Pointing to Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, Law Minister Anisul Huq today said the chief justice of no other country expresses annoyance in public so often.

“No other chief justice speaks so much in public either,” the minister told reporters while replying to a query during a press conference at the law ministry.

“If the chief justice has any grievance, he may talk to the government. And if so, the government will try to solve the problem,” the minister added.

The press conference was organised marking the National Legal Aid Day to be held on April 28.

Any problem can be solved through discussion, he said adding that his government had never interfered in judicial activities and will never do in future.
