Nova in BTV's first megaseries
For many years, BTV was the only broadcaster in the country, the sole entertainment outlet for generations with its memorable programmes and dramas. The television network is about to break out of its own mold soon, by airing its first megaseries. Titled “The Generation”, the plot has been conceptualised by SM Harun-ur-Rashid, scripted by Masum Reza and directed by Alvee Ahmed. “The Generation” is to feature popular actress Nova as one of the protagonists.
The play revolves around university students, capturing their ideals, way of life, and their aspirations. “I loved my character, and the overall narrative. But what excites me the most is 'The Generation' is going to be BTV's first ever megaseries, and it is an honour to be a part of it,” stated Nova.
The actress also added that while she has been featured in programmes and plays on BTV before, she has never been involved in a long-running drama series on the channel.
Other ventures to include Nova are a play titled “Pagla Hawa”, directed by Asif Mahmud Ronny, and to be aired on Banglavision. “The drama is about characters that slowly lose their mind over time. It's entertaining, and contains a wonderful message as well,” shared Nova.
The actress will also be seen in “Baro Ghore'r Ek Uthaan”, helmed by Rajibul Islam Rajib. The series, still awaiting release, will feature the actress in the role of a film extra. “This role is quite challenging, and compelling,” she stated.
Nova is also slated to appear in the Aronno Anwar helmed comedy series titled “Bondhu Botey”. Her last completed venture is the much acclaimed “Brishti der Bari”, which recently aired its last episode.
Aside from acting, the actress has been hosting “Shoundorjo Kotha” on Banglavision for almost four years. She is also hosting the weekly musical programme titled “Malancha” on BTV.
