“Altur Cycle Jatra” to air on BTV
A 13-episode mini television serial, titled “Altur Cycle Jatra” will air on Bangladesh Television (BTV) every Wednesday starting from August 5.
The announcement was made at a press conference held at the Taufiq Aziz Khan Seminar Hall of The Daily Star Centre on Monday. Director of the serial, Mamunur Rashid along with lead actors Rumana Malik Munmun, Chanchal Chowdhury, AKM Hasan, Shahnaz Khushi, Tushar Khan and Shamima Tushti attended the press conference.
The play is part of an awareness raising campaign by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, UNICEF, WHO and CIDA.
The mini serial surrounds the life of Altu, a philanthropic youth who enlightens villagers about children's health issues. Altu is very popular as he strives to improve the lives of people from his village. In addition, the serial sheds light on village politics, children's health issues and different social issues.
At the end of every episode will be a quiz for the audience.
The winners will get attractive gifts.
The serial will air after the 8pm news.
