From the shooting spot
On a hot summer afternoon, Tisha and Jon were found among the grassy, lakeside inclines of Diyabari instead of their usual filming location at Mandira, in the capital's Uttara. The crowds milling about the filming crew gave away their presence to any bystander, which would have otherwise made it very hard for this correspondent to identify them.
The crowds melted away to director Ashfaque Nipun settled in front of a monitor, gesticulating with his arms towards the distance. The sun was about to set, which meant the shot would have to be wrapped up quickly. Jon and Tisha were in front of the camera, playing out a scene. Unfortunately for everyone in the crew, the roads around the filming location rumbled with vehicles passing by, rendering the shots useless.
After facing interruptions from a passing motorbike, a plane, and another bike, it took three takes for the scene to film successfully.
The director indicated again to the crew with new instructions. It was time for a location change. Ashfaque Nipun along with some members of the filming unit descended into a dense Kashbon. After Tisha's costume change, this scene will depict the couple walking towards the camera from a distance.
These are scenes for Ashfaque Nipun's new play titled “Rainbow”, slated to be released during Eid on Rtv. “All my endeavours are towards producing quality work, and I know 'Rainbow' will deliver,” said the director.
Tisha, who plays the female lead in the play shared, “Jon and I have worked together before, and it is always a great experience. The narrative of the play is wonderful, and I know viewers will enjoy the story.”
