Popular actress Nawshaba has been making waves in a quite different avenue for some time now. The artiste has been hosting the show “Rongeela'r Rongoshala” on news24, which airs every Wednesday at 9pm. Today marks the programme's first anniversary, for which a special episode will be aired tonight.

The programme features the actress in various disguises every week. So far, she has anchored the programme impersonating Babita and Suchitra Sen, and has also made appearances as an old witch, a scientist and more. For tonight's special episode, the actress will be dressed as a Miss World pageant winner.

“This programme is not only about hosting skills, it also gives me room for acting; to portray a character effectively I have to talk and make gestures the way they would,” she stated.

Nawshaba's first hosting venture was “Binodon Karkhana,” which was aired on Ekattor TV.
