The kite flying festival in Denmark
Thousands of people have descended on the Danish island of Fano for Europe's largest kite festival.
5,000 kite makers from Norway, Germany, Japan and the US demonstrate their skills.
The festival was founded in 1985 by Wolfgang Schimmelpfenning who organised a kite fliers weekend with friends.
Since then, it has evolved into an international, though non-commercial, grassroots event.
