Bangladeshis above 65 to get 5yrs Indian multiple visas
India has decided to increase the duration of tourist visa from one year to five years with multiple entry facility for Bangladeshis aged above 65 years.
The decision has been taken in pursuance of Indian government's stated policy for easing of visa norms for promotion of tourism, our New Delhi correspondent reports quoting an official statement issued last night.
Indian missions in Bangladesh will henceforth extend this facility to the Bangladeshi applicants, the statement added.
This initiative of the Indian government will further strengthen the bilateral relationship between India and Bangladesh and intensify people-to-people contact, the statement said adding "the long-pending issue has thus been resolved to the satisfaction of all stakeholders."
