Rajiv Gandhi Killing: SC refutes govt's petition
The Supreme Court yesterday rejected the central government's curative petition and upheld commutation of the death sentence to life imprisonment of three convicts in former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi's assassination case, TV channels reported. On February 18, 2014, the court had commuted the death sentence of Santhan, Murugan and Perarivalan to life imprisonment.
