Pakistan denies sheltering fugitive Dawood Ibrahim

The Pakistan government has released a statement yesterday over the media reports which claimed Dawood was being sheltered in the country by terming such reports as 'baseless and misleading'. Pakistan has released a list of 88 banned terror groups as part of its efforts to wriggle out of tough financial sanctions. The Pakistan government has issued two notifications on August 18 announcing sanctions on key figures of terror outfits. The list included 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind and Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Harfiz Saeed, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar, and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
