22 children killed in India road crash
At least 22 children were killed when a school bus carrying them collided with a truck in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh's Etah district today, The Times of India reported.
The accident happened early in the morning.
The truck was being driven at a high speed when the school's mini-bus collided with it. The children in the bus were on their way to school, our New Delhi correspondent reports quoting Indian media.
All of the children on the bus were junior school students aged between seven and ten years old.
Javeed Ahmed, Director General of Police (DGP) of state police, said that rescue operations were on.
