Two killed in Mymensingh road crash

Two people were killed and 11 others injured as a bus rammed into a private car on the Mymensingh-Netrokona road in Tarakanda upazila of Mymensingh this morning. 

The victims were the driver of the car and one of its passengers. Detailed identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, said Ali Ahmed Mollah, officer-in-charge of Tarakanda Police Station.

Quoting the police, our correspondent said, the accident took place as a Mymensingh bound bus from Netrokona collided head-on with a private car at Kashiganj point leaving two people dead on the spot and injuring 11 others around 11:00am.

Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

The injured people are now undergoing treatment at the hospital.  

Police seized the bus and the car. However the driver of the bus managed to flee the scene.
