Transport workers in Thakurgaon and Panchagarh called off their indefinite strike on different routes in the districts this morning.

Earlier on Tuesday, the transport owners and workers went on strike for indefinite period demanding ban on Nasiman, Kariman, Bhatbhati and similar other vehicles plying highways and inter-district roads.

They came up with the decision after district administration assured them to meet their demands last night.

Buses went off the roads in the two districts from Tuesday causing untold suffering to the commuters and the HSC examinees, our Thakurgaon correspondent reported.
