Tarique's adviser released on bail
One of BNP Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman's three newly appointed human rights advisers arrested on Tuesday from his own office premises, Uzma Centre in East London's Whitechapel area, was released on bail yesterday.
Barrister MA Sayem told a journalist that an investigation was underway but denied any wrongdoing. London Metropolitan Police refused to comment since the investigations were ongoing.
Requesting anonymity, a contact working in a neighbouring law firm said Sayem was arrested on suspicion of forging documents for one of his clients. With numerous criminal cases filed against him at home, Tarique has been in London since 2008.
