Govt not worried about BNP demo: Syed Ashraf

The government is not worried about any violence in the wake of the opposition BNP's announcement of an anti-government movement after the Eid, ruling Awami League general secretary said today. "We hope BNP would hold its demonstration peacefully," Syed Ashraful Islam said while exchanging Eid greetings with journalists at his office at Secretariat. Asked about the ruling party's strategy to deal with the anti-government agitation, Ashraf, also the LGRD minister, replied: "We are now busy preparing to observe the National Mourning Day on August 15."
