Police recovered the body of Fahmida Akhtar from inside her bedroom in the capital's Rampura yesterday.   Police released renowned model and actor Pallab Chakraborty hours after detaining him along with 10 others from the capital's Rampura area on charges of possessing firearms. After primary interrogation, Pallab and four others were freed as police did not find their involvement with carrying firearms illegally, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.  The law enforcers picked up 11 people including Pallab from an office in Kunjaban area behind the BTV Bhaban and seized three firearms, 14 bullets and two machetes from their possessions, said Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Motijheel zone). 29 crude bombs found at Rampura

Police recovered 29 crude bombs and a magazine in an abandoned condition from Rampura in the capital this morning. Informed by locals, law enforcers recovered a bag containing the handmade bombs and magazine from near the Rampura Bridge around 8:30am, said Kripa Sindhu Bala, officer-in-charge (OC) of Rampura Police Station. None was arrested in this connection.
