Tushar hits majestic double hundred
Tushar Imran hit a majestic 220 for Prime Bank South Zone on the second day of their four-day Bangladesh Cricket League match against BCB North Zone at the BKSP in Savar today.
The veteran right-hander, who was unbeaten on 127 on Day One and in the process became the first batsman to score 9000 first-class runs, celebrated his outstanding feat with a fantastic double that contained 20 fours and three sixes. His seven and a half hour vigil at the wicket came to an end when he was bowled by off-spinner Nasir Hossain. His innings took South Zone to a massive 501 in 144.4 overs.
Chasing a huge total, North Zone limped to 107-4 at stumps with opener Farhad Hossain providing some resistance with 56.
