Titas make winning start

Defending champions Titas Club made a winning start in the Dhaka Metropolis Premier Division Volleyball League with a straight sets (3-0) win over Bangladesh Police at the Paltan Volleyball Stadium yesterday.

Titas faced a bit of a challenge from Bangladesh Police initially before taking the first set 25-20. The second set was more straight-forward as they won it 25-13 before facing a fightback from the opposition during a 25-22 win in the third set.   

Earlier, deputy speaker Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah inaugurated the 10-team league as the chief guest where Bangladesh Volleyball Federation's vice president Moinul Islam and general secretary Ashiqur Rahman Miku were also present.
