Riasatul wins 10m gold
Risalatul Islam of Narayanganj Rifle Club bagged gold in the coveted men's 10m Air Rifle event on the final day of Priopranygan 29th National Shooting Championships at the National Shooting Complex in Gulshan yesterday.
Participating in the senior competition for the first time, Riyasatul won the title beating Bangladesh Games gold medallist Rabbi Hasan while Commonwealth Games silver medallist and holder Abdullah Hel Baki finished eighth despite moving into the finals as the top shooter.
Risalatul scored 249.4 points, six more than Rabbi. Jesimuzzaman won the bronze medal with a score of 221.5 points.
SA Games gold medallist Shakil Ahmed won his second gold when he shot 542 points to finish top in 50m Free Pistol event while Anwar Hossain and Raihanul Islam won silver and bronze respectively.
Army Shooting Association became champions with nine gold, nine silver and 14 bronze medals while BKSP finished second with three gold, two silver and five bronze medals.
