Mariners beat Abahani
Dhaka Mariner Young's Club got back into the title race with a massive 5-1 win over Abahani in their final first-phase match of the Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium yesterday.
The crucial win helped raise Mariners points tally to 30 from 11 outings, just three behind leaders Mohammedan Sporting Club, while Abahani remain glued to 27 points from 11 matches. The next phase, the five-team Super League, begins on Friday.
