Maldives trip for fans!
Saif Sporting Club will fly three spectators to Maldives for the away match of the AFC Cup playoff qualifiers against TC Sports Club, said a club official yesterday.
The Bangladeshi newcomers will host the Maldivian outfit at the Bangabandhu National Stadium today.
To bring spectators to the big bowl, the club has taken a few initiatives including giving away team merchandise and home-match tickets through fun competitions.
They will also hold a lottery for spectators in today's match and select three spectators for a trip to the island nation for the away fixture on January 30.
“As a new team, we are trying to attract spectators so that they turn up at the stadium and inspire us. There will be no entry fees for the match. Instead, we will award the spectators through a lottery and take three of them to Maldives,” the club's general manager Sayed Al Fattah told reporters yesterday.
