Babar ton hands Pak big win
Babar Azam hit a brilliant century while Shoaib Malik hit a rapid fifty as Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 83 runs in the first one-day international against Sri Lanka in Dubai on Friday.
Azam finished with 103 from 131 deliveries for his sixth ODI hundred and Malik smashed a 61-ball 81 to set up 292 for six after Sri Lanka had won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Sri Lanka's innings was stuffed out by twin strikes from Rumman Raees and Hasan Ali before the islanders eventually managed 209 for eight in their reply. Raees finished with three for 49 while Ali had figures of three for 36.
