Tigresses to hone skills on A tour
The Bangladesh Women's A team will leave today for Bengaluru, India to take part in a three-match one-day series which will be followed by a three-match T20 series against India A.
Rumana Ahmed and her troops will play two warm-up matches on November 26 and 28 against Karnataka State Cricket Association in Bengaluru ahead of the series.
The visitors will then travel to Belgaum where they face India A in the first of the three-match series on December 2, with the second and third games to be played on December 5 and 8 respectively at the same venue.
The three-match T20 series will be played on December 12, 14 and 16 at Hubli, after which the team will return to the country on December 17.
Under the banner of the A team most of the national team players are travelling to India as part of their preparations for the South Africa tour next year followed by the ICC World T20 qualifiers in March.
"I think this tour will help us to improve and our aim is to win both the one-day and T20 series. We had a good preparation camp in BKSP ahead of the tour and I think it will be a challenging tour for us. We also have a South Africa tour next year which will be followed by the ICC World T20 qualifier in Netherlands, so I think this tour will help us to improve our skill," Rumana told The Daily Star yesterday.
