NEIGHBOURLY BEHAVIOUR

It's always wonderful when actors and actresses from our country appear in foreign productions. It shows that our media personalities have attained a certain caliber that will allow them to connect to foreign audiences. Ruhee is one such actress who has been able to penetrate our neighbour's film industry. Her latest Kolkata film, Glamour, was released on the same day as Zero Degree. While it's always a proud moment to see our faces in their cinemas, it's not a proud moment when you consider the attitude that they have reserved for us. Take for example Glamour. When reviews of the film came out, everything was discussed, but Ruhee's name was nowhere to be found. If it's bad, criticize or if it's good then praise, but what's the meaning of completely omitting one's name?

Especially since Ruhee was one of the leading cast members of the film. Of course, this isn't exactly new as they've been doing this for a while now. They either omit names or misspell names constantly. Another example is Ferdous. He's been involved with both film industries for a while but even to this day, they misspell his name. This is very disheartening as they simply refuse to acknowledge our talents or efforts. And it seems, this habit is also pouring into sports as well. Anyone who's seen the recent cricket match between Bangladesh and India will know of what we are talking about. Even if one missed the match, they only needed to log onto Facebook to see the outpouring of rage and disgust felt by millions around the globe of how Indian cricket team took advantage of faulty decisions to claim victory on the match. 

 as they simply refuse to acknowledge our talents or efforts. And it seems, this habit is also pouring into sports as well. India is undoubtedly a wonderful country and they have a lot of advancements that we admire.  Their success automatically makes them an example for its neighbouring countries so they must learn to be more accepting of us and acknowledge us. Let's hope that all this comes to an end because the results of us working as a unified unit are always great.
