Project GoBeyond at BRAC University
BRAC Business School and Project GoBeyond arranged an innovative workshop on "Presentation Skills & PowerPoint" conducted by Ayman Sadiq, founder and CEO, 10 Minute School on June 7, 2016 at BRAC University Auditorium.
The event began with a very inspiring speech by Mohammad Rezaur Razzak, Associate Professor and Head of Operations, BRAC Business School. He mentioned that the importance of PowerPoint presentations in job sector is very high and business students should adopt these skills for their future professional and academic purposes. His talk was followed by Professor Dr. Rahim B. Talukder, Adviser, BRAC Business School, who mentioned the initiative taken by Project GoBeyond and BRAC Business School was a brilliant idea as this will help the new students as well as graduating students to learn those skills from Ayman Sadiq.
In the workshop, Ayman inspired all the students by telling his stories. The students enjoyed his way of interacting with the audience throughout the whole session. He said, "I am not here to tell you to just do it, rather I will show you how to do it". He showed some hacks to improve the PowerPoint slides as well as gave the basic knowledge of using this tool. He also shared some links and videos from 10 Minute School's website where everyone can learn free of cost. He encouraged students to share their ideas with their team as well as ask questions through their website and promised to help them solve it. At the end of the event, Project Adviser, Riyashad Ahmed, Assistant Professor and Coordinator, EMBA programme, BRAC Business School honoured the guest with a token of appreciation.
The project "Project GoBeyond" is designed in a way where students will be trained in efficient ways with practice and follow up methods. This is a must to expose the right position of BRAC University where the students will discover these skills and have the confidence to participate in more business competitions and rise to launch their careers.
The main objective of this session was to develop the core skills of career perspective for all the BRAC University students and enhance their efficiency levels. The personnel behind the project were the project adviser, Riyashad Ahmed, Assistant Professor and Coordinator, EMBA programme, BRAC Business School and the organising team of K. M. Wahiduzzaman Fahad (BBS), Tajema Islam (ESS), Md. Hasan-al-Yakut (BBS), Kh. Mussharat Tasnim Ishrar (BBS), Sarah Muniyat (BBS), Tareq Ibne Kamal (BBS) and Mostafa Sakib Fabi (BBS).
