KNOW NOT WHAT YOU KNOW

Sometimes it's best to act as if you don't know anything.
Why? Well, for starters, you can't be blamed for not knowing [in most cases]. Secondly, people might turn out to be sympathetic and actually decide to help you.
Take my recent experience for example. I had to carry out some important paperwork at a state institution – one that has a reputation to turn people with ADHD into zen monks in its waiting line. I decided to play stupid and asked every official on the way about the procedures that followed. And that did the trick.
I was greeted with bright eyes and Cheshire Cat-like smiles all the way through to the final counter. Never have I seen such passionate employees, trying to help out a helpless person. Confidence boost level 9000.
I suppose stupid is the new street smart.
